To release the sealed demon to the outside world, you must use various means to gather “DPT”.
To collect it effectively, you will also need to earn money.
Most actions carried out during the day will consume “Energy”.
Energy can be restored through sleep, eating snacks, and visiting public baths.

The seal on the demon is unlocked by consuming DPT.
Through that process, you can also pick up “Magic”.
This magic is able to make what the demon considers to be the protagonist’s “Potentials” blossom forth.
These potentials are required to access some sex scenes, and to play more efficiently.
Bring out the protagonist’s true nature and nurture a dirty, sexy girl.

However, if you do nothing but sexy stuff all the time, you’ll get a bad reputation,
which will lead to certain events and a possible bad ending.

Review

If you like laid back game with corruption, this is a great one for you. A demon is sealed within you and you must collect energy to slowly free him and free yourself. You do so by doing lewd things around town prgressively easing into more and more intense things.

All in all, the art was pretty good, there’s a wide variety of scenes and the game is not too grindy so it stays enjoyable as you hunt for them. The translation, as one would expect from an official translation, is impeccable. The amount of content and the quality of it makes this a very good game for it’s price. Strongly reccomended.

Story

A young girl accidentally picks up a bottle in the park. By bad luck, the bottle actually seals a demon who puts a curse on her. In order to free herself from it, she will have to liberate this being by accumulating the decadence of a human being. There are not 50 solutions to do this…

Review

Anthesis is a game whose objective is the good management of the resources available to the player: time, money, energy and various statistics. It is up to you to accumulate enough decadence in 20 days to avoid game over. You will only be able to carry out a certain number of actions per day. Between the odd job, your propensity to exhibit yourself on the Internet, and the various temptations of the city, there is a lot to do.

Anthesis, however, is not difficult. With a bit of practice, the city quickly becomes our playground that we know by heart. The generous adult content is therefore only possible if the right conditions are in place to unblock it. Be careful, however, not to get too much attention from your classmates or exorcists, otherwise you’ll end up with a bad ending.

The adult content is therefore the main attraction of the game. It is very generous, with lots of situations and costumes, although very classic. The drawing is still awkward in places, with strange proportions and very simple male characters. The mosaics are not intrusive but are still disturbing. There is no dubbing and the dialogues are long. In general, however, they remain a delight.
Anthesis is a very good game. It is classic in the adult RPG Maker category, but it is clever and well balanced. I recommend it.

Highlights :

Weaknesses :

– a drawing still clumsy sometimes
– lack of precise clues in the recollection room

When it comes to corruption games, this is definitely a game that takes the cake! It puts a decent spin on the high schooler trope.

Pros:

I found the motivation a bit odd at first, a demon forcing her to do deprived things, but what I appreciate about it is that for one, it’s not the standard trope of needing money, and secondly, there are other ways of getting depravity, but the game is showing you that she finds it easier to do lewd things if you decide to do so
The art is pretty solid, a shame that it doesn’t have animation, would definitely skyrocket this game to my #1 spot.
Theres a lot of different types of content that is not really repetitive
There is no combat! I am so thankful that they didn’t just shoehorn some combat into my porn

Cons:

Some things only require you to have a certain lewdness but others need to be unlocked in this weird dream world that the demon is in, inside of her mind, using the depravity currency. Which is kind of like leveling up, but it takes me out of the immersion. This paired with the fact that there’s a time limit means you have to strategize on how to get the points you need to unlock the next thing and it ends up feeling like a chore.

This game has an excellent corruption mechanic, and is mostly about balancing the various stats against each other to win. Money initially didn’t seem very important, until you realized just how much it could do. If you want individual endings with specific fates for the heroine, focus on sexual acts with certain characters.

The game is a bit slow to open up the game world, so you have to be patient for your particular fetish. The game casts its fetish net wide, though unless you are picky, nothing here should turn you off. It is easy, if tedious, to abuse the wandering perverts for maximum efficiency and will allow you to stick to whatever route you want to take.

Artwork is good quality, though not top tier.

This review won’t be a rating system out of 10 nor buy or not, generally hate that kind of review.

-Small quality of life stuff (save almost anywhere, skip seen scenes so you can ‘farm’ more, descriptions how to unlock H scenes, gallery, ect)

This game is great in many fronts however it’s not a action game or rpg. You literally go around and interact w/ objects essentially. However this game is about time management. Unlockable items and ‘progressions’. This is a corruption and time management simulator. The corruption however is mostly willingly, as in you choose the corruption and it’s not something that happens through rng or catches you off guard. Even when you choose a ‘skill’ to be corrupted you still have options to avoid events from happening, this is a good thing for people who want a middle ground.

My first playthrough I was able to unlock every scene and all skills and everything before the last few days. However this involves understanding the game mechanics and I would easily understand people doing multiple playthroughs to unlock everything. The H content is diverse and the amount of content is very vast. You can likely beat the game under a few hours. However I think it’s unlikely someone would speed run this type of game.

Having just played through Ambrosia. I sought out to see what else this circle has made and found this. Seeing it was less focused on combat and just a pure daily life game which is my ideal game. And very quickly this game did not disappoint. There’s many ways to progress and while simple the amount of h-scenes is more then worth the price.

Essentially if you like the art and enjoy daily life/prostitution games. This is a must buy.
